As the demonstrators who were chanting cursing and throwing stones, pushed the riot police to their last line of defense the first teargas grenades were thrown to the crowd. Massive part of the demonstration tried to move away from the gases and the answer from youths came in the form of molotov bombs. The battle was on.

Τότε έπεσαν και οι πρώτες δακρυγόνες χειροβομβίδες στο πλήθος. Τεράστιος άριθμός διαδηλωτών προσπάθησε να αποφύγει τα δακρυγόνα, ενώ η απάντηση ήρθε απο νεαρούς με βόμβες μολότοφ. Η μάχη είχε ξεκινήσει.
